FOOD! Jeez, people get your minds out of the gutter. 🙂
So after the last two days of food, food and more food, I’ll never move again I’m sure. But while I’m being a sloth on the Diva Couch I’m going to load up my ereader using the GC’s I was fortunate to receive from Santa this year. But before I do I want some suggestions. What’s the one book you read this year that you would recommend? I’ve got 24hrs before I go away so I need all the help I can get to be prepared for lazy days under the hot summer sun.
And because it’s Christmas and I’m feeling generous I’ll pick one lucky commenter to win an advanced copy of my Jan 17 release, Truth Or Dare on Thursday morning Oz time.
Well come on, what should I read while on holidays?

We haven’t had too much sun this summer but the forecast is looking good for while we’re away so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
I’ve been looking at your suggestion. Might have to make it a definite purchase.

Most of what I’ve read lately are holiday themed, but still good reads. Four for Christmas by RG Alexander, The Naughty List by Jodi Redford, Wild Irish Christmas by Mari, and Melt With You by Karen Erickson are all terrific books.

Oh Nancy, nice choices there. I’ve got Mari’s already. It pays to be her CP. *grin*
I’m adding the rest to my list to look at.

ROFL, Rhian! Hmm… one book? Yikes, not sure I could do that! I did love Ellen Connor’s Dark Age Dawning trilogy–it’s postapocalyptic stuff that’s a bit darker than I usually go for, but it was pretty amazing. I was so sorry to turn the last page of Daybreak, the last book.
And I can’t wait to get my hands on Sarah Mayberry’s latest–I first stumbled on her writing when she was doing Blazes for Harlequin. Anything for You is still one of my favorite friends-to-lovers stories. She’s mostly transitioned to writing SuperRomances now, and she is just incredible. She’s got such a warm, REAL voice that comes through, and her characters just blow me away with how they truly capture and express the range of emotions that are real life. I don’t have her latest couple yet–One Good Reason and All They Need. Oh, and she’s an Aussie, too 🙂
If you’re a Shelly Laurenston fan like me, then you can just re-read some of her previous stories over the holidays, too–I’m dying for Bear Meets Girl though, which isn’t out until March. *sigh*
So… tell us what you do load onto your reader, OK?

I love Sarah’s books. I haven’t read one in a while though so I’ll definitely be looking at the ones I’m missing.
Thanks Fedora, and I will be sure to let you know what I get.
