The Cover War Continues…

First, Jess declared HER covers were the most gorgeous out there. Then Sami joined in the delusion by declaring HER covers the best. Now, it’s my turn to bring this cover war to an end. By sharing with you MY latest covers.

Ready?

ComplianceCoverThis one is for Compliance, a story for the Heart of Fame world, which is available now for only .99c (and was originally part of the Down and Dirty box set) You can buy Compliance at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords, Kobo and iBooks.

Then, there’s THIS one. Is that a sexy firefighter’s chest or what? My story in the Five Alarm Alpha box set is called Combustible and, like Compliance, is set in the Heart of Fame world (those of you who have read Muscle for Hire may recognise the hero of Combustible. Hee hee hee)

finalalpha

And finally, there this one…the cover for Breathless for You, the first book in the new Outback Skies series, which is an off-shoot of the Heart of Fame series and is available from Jan 20 next year. Whoa, that’s one very delicious man right there, yes?

BreathlessForYou72lg

Sooooo, what do we all think? Hot covers, or what? Tell me which one your favourite is and why and I’ll draw a winner from the hat and that person can pick any ebook from my backlist they want 🙂

Not to be Outdone…

I see you Jess with all your sexy new covers. They are very gorgeous I must say. But I can’t let the New Cover Queen title go unchallenged. I too have some new covers that I want to show you, for books 1 and 2 in my new series entitled Ashton Heights Fire. The series is a spin off of my novel Erica’s Choice, and will involve lots of yummy two on one and one on one lovin’ starring super hot Aussie firefighters. What more could you want?

Book 1 is Burning Up

Burning Up

Burning Up is the story that was included in the Down and Dirty Boxed Set, and it’s now available as a single release.

One woman, two sexy firefighters and a whole lot of mischief.

Pam Spencer is sick of looking for love in all the wrong places. Sure, she wants a solid relationship, but if steamy casual sex is on offer, who is she to turn it down? Especially when the offer comes from not one, but two smokin’ hot firefighters.

Steve Waller has a serious thing for Pam, but she seems more interested in his mate Rob McConnell. When they both realize Pam is open to a threesome, they jump at the chance. Too bad Steve really wants Pam all to himself. But love can’t blossom out of a crazy one night three way. Can It?

Burning Up is available now at Amazon       Barnes & Noble     Smashwords    iBooks

And you want to know what book cover 2 is don’t you? The follow up to Burning Up is called Giving Off Sparks.

Giving off SparksResisting a gorgeous firefighter bent on seduction could prove the ultimate challenge.

Firefighter Rob McConnell doesn’t believe in love at first sight, until he meets Sierra Lawson and his common sense goes up in flames. The woman sets his heart alight the instant he meets her, and he could swear the feeling is mutual. But Sierra has one rule that makes a relationship between them unworkable—she doesn’t date firefighters. Still, Rob thinks the spark between them deserves an opportunity to grow and he’ll use every seductive talent he has to convince Sierra to take a chance on love.

Sierra doesn’t believe in taking chances. Her late fiancé took them on the job as a cop and wound up dead. Knowing she can’t go through that kind of heartache again, Sierra vows never to date another man in a dangerous profession. But when hunky firefighter Rob bursts into her life, her list of rules looks set to burn up like dry kindling. The man is temptation personified. An affair seems inevitable.

Guarding her heart? Impossible.

Giving Off Sparks will release on October 30, but you can preorder it now from Amazon      Smashwords     iBooks

Woohoo! I’m so excited about releasing this series. The books have been such fun to write and I hope you have fun reading them too.

Meet The Men of The Outback Skies – A Week of WIP Men

This week, the Divas are sharing with you the heroes of their works in progress (aka WIP). Introducing them to you all, as it were.

Whetting your appetites…

Teasing you…

Taunting you…

Let’s beging with the men of the Outback Skies series, shall we?

January next year sees the beginning of my new series, Outback Skies. As you can probably guess, the series is set in the Outback, in the town of Wallaby Ridge. In that town, there’s a pub called Outback Skies, and it is in that pub that four friends catch-up every Friday afternoon…four men whose job all entail flying high in the skies that stretch across the Australian Outback.

Would you like me to introduce you to them?

Matt Corvin (Breathless for You, Book One)

Tom-Mison-tom-mison-35744973-200-200

Matt is a GP. Or more to the point, a Royal Flying Doctor Service doctor. He is also the world’s sweetest man. Which means when he lets loose his dominating sexual side, Tash, his prickly pilot, is more than a little surprised…

Evan Alexander (Burn for You, Book Two)

000•0911_SEBASTIANSTAN.pdf

Aviation firefighter, Evan is one of the most tortured heroes I’ve ever written. A broken man needing to be healed. But he’s determined not to let anyone into his heart, and that includes the woman he used to fantasize about almost half a decade ago. Of course, she’s not going to walk away from Evan. Who could?

Ryan Taylor (Bare for You, Book Three)

actors hugh jackman 1920x1080 wallpaper_wallpaperswa.com_22

Ryan is almost your typical Outback cowboy. I say almost typical, because he rounds up cattle via helicopter, not on the back on a horse. He’s also Wallaby Ridge’s only opening gay citizen. Which makes getting a date in a town of 700 not that easy. And then Federal Member for the Arts and Culture, Jeremy Craig arrives in town to open an indigenous art gallery…a man who, on the outside is very very hetrosexual. A man predicted to become the next Australian Deptuy Prime Minister…

Charlie Baynard (Better with You, Book Four)

407_1charlie_hunnam_3

There’s not much I can tell you about Wallby Ridge’s Senior Constable, Charlie. Take my word on it when I say three words sum Charlie up: enigmatic, menacing, and sarcastic. Oh, four words…but that fourth word involves a woman on Interpol’s Most Wanted list. A woman coming to get Charlie…

So there you have the four heroes of Outback Skies. Based purely on their intro, which one would you most like to share a beer with in the pub? 🙂

Ready for a Rendezvous?

I’m so excited to announce another release! You might call it a flash release because I’m taking you by surprise with it :). I wrote this little short story a while back and have been sitting on it, because I needed to get up to speed on the whole self publishing thing before I released it. Eventually I decided I just had to jump in and do it, so here I am, announcing my first ever solo self publishing venture! (can you hear my knees knocking from where you are?)

I always wanted to release this story on my own because I liked it so much the way it was–short, hot, kind of sweet and sad in parts, and overall uplifting. It’s a story about an estranged husband and wife who have one last shot at making their marriage work. In Romanceland, we so often focus on firsts–first meetings, first loves, first kisses and the first (insert your choice of verb here *wink*). That’s good stuff, fun stuff. But we rarely get to see what happens after the initial blush of love starts to wear off and a couple is left to deal with real life stuff. When my heroine Cassie and her husband Reed had to deal with their real life issues, they didn’t do it very well. In Rendezvous, we see them trying to rectify that… while sailing around the idyllic Whitsunday Islands of course. Because I’m the author and I could set the book anywhere I wanted :).

So are you ready for a book not about firsts this time, but about second chances?

Six days at sea with her ex… Conditions are about to get rough

Twelve months ago Cassie Dalton fled Sydney and her three year marriage to tough city cop, Reed. Now she’s living a new life chartering tourists around the pristine tropical waters of the Whitsunday Passage on her inherited yacht, The Rendezvous. Despite having unresolved feelings for her estranged husband, she sends divorce papers in her desperation to move on. To her surprise the move shakes Reed out of his emotional hibernation and brings him to north Queensland, determined to win her back. As they spend the next six days sailing and sharing secrets, Cassie begins to wonder why she ever thought living without the man she loves was a solid life plan.

But just as she thinks all their fences have mended, Reed breaks her heart all over again…

Release date 1 August 14, when it will be available everywhere including Amazon. Preorder at Smashwords or iBooks AU, with more preorder links to come. You can read an excerpt here.

What do you think?

Party Of Three – How it all began

Many years ago, before I was married or had kids or had even moved to Australia, I was single and living in South Africa. I had a very cool group of friends and tried to see them as often as possible. But real life tended to get in the way a lot. Work, commitments, family. To ensure we got to see one other often, we started getting together on Sunday nights. Last minute plans to meet somewhere for dinner. As the weeks turned into months, the plans became less last minute, and more of a standard weekly event we all looked forward to.

Every week we’d choose a really cool restaurant, make our booking and spend the night eating great food, drinking loads of alcohol and just enjoying being together. Those dinners soon became known as “The Sunday Night Supper Club.”

There were always a core group of friends who attended, and as time passed, others joined. Girlfriends, boyfriends, casual friends, out of towners. Some stayed and became part of the core group. Others didn’t. As relationships ended, some of the girlfriends and boyfriends left the club. Some stayed permanently – as couples got married. Then we went through a stage where a whole new group of people joined us. The next generation. Yep, some of us had kids, and we brought the newborns along in their baby seats. They’d sleep silently while we enjoyed our dinners. (Of course that only lasted a few months. when the babes got a little older, we’d leave them at home with sitters).

When we moved to Australia, one of the hardest things to leave behind was that Sunday Night Supper Club. It took years to accept that we no longer had a standing dinner date on a Sunday night.
I still miss those evenings out. And the friends we dined with.

A gift from the Club when we left for Sydney. It's hanging on our wall now. (And if you can read the plaque, you'll see it says, Sydney Supper Club 2003. Unfortunately, that subtle wish for the future never came to be.)

A gift from the Club when we left for Sydney. It’s hanging on our wall now. (And if you can read the plaque, you’ll see it says, Sydney Supper Club 2003. Unfortunately, that subtle wish for the future never came to be.)

I guess that’s the best thing about being an author. I can make the past come back to life. Which is what I’ve chosen to do with Party Of Three, my novella from the Down and Dirty boxed set.
It’s the first book in a brand new series, titled…The Sunday Night Dinner Club. And yep, you’ve got it. The series focuses on a group of friends who have a standing Sunday night arrangement to meet for dinner.
(In case you’re wondering why I substituted the word ‘supper’ for ‘dinner’… Well, Aussies don’t think of supper as dinner. For an Australian, supper is more like tea after dinner. And since this series in set in Sydney, I had to get the terminology right.)

So…read on for your first glimpse into the new series. (Oh, and if you’re wondering if the characters are based on real life friends from South Africa…well, my lips are sealed.) 😉

Party Of Three: The blurb:

Two men, one woman and a whole menu of opportunities.

Sunday Night Dinner Club, Book 1

When Spencer Allen arranges an impromptu date with Chelsea Holden, the beautiful restaurant owner he’s lusted after for months, he discovers an unexpected obstacle in his quest for true love—his best mate.

Levi Barret’s always been reluctant to give his heart to one woman, until Chelsea catches his attention. Now he’s finding it difficult to think of anyone else.

Levi’s interest in Chelsea could spell the end of a lifelong friendship…or the beginning of a whole new relationship.

Warning: Be sure to keep a safe distance from the oven. When things heat up in this kitchen, sparks are going to fly.

Party Of Three: An excerpt:

He gasped hoarsely. “You’ve got me so fucking turned on, I could take you right here in the middle of Centennial Park and not regret it for a second.”
She didn’t bother answering. Not with words anyway.
She tunneled her hand into his hair, massaging his scalp and steering his head so his mouth was aligned with hers once more. Her eyes smoldered, her lids lowered to half-mast and breath puffed from her mouth. Then she took his lips with hers and proceeded to blow his world clean away with her kiss.
Last night, Levi had told Spencer he really liked Chelsea. This morning, those words made a mockery of his true feelings. He didn’t just like the woman. He was already halfway in love with her.
And God knew, Levi had not loved a woman in a long time.
He nudged her thighs apart, making space for himself between her legs. Then he bent his knees slightly and repositioned his hips, sighing in relief as his cock came to rest in the V of her thighs.
The urge to thrust against her almost did his head in, and repressing that urge about killed him, but outside, in the open like this, he had no choice. If he gave in to his impulses, he’d be arrested for public indecency.
It was Chelsea who broke the kiss this time round. “If we weren’t standing in the middle of Centennial Park,” she whispered in his ear, “I’d insist you fuck me. Hard and fast and right here against the paperbark tree.”
“Chels.” He squeezed his eyes shut. “You’re killing me.”
“You started it.”
With his eyes closed, her scent was even more alluring. Sweet and spicy and totally addictive. He couldn’t help it, couldn’t stop the urge to grind against her—and was immediately rewarded by her muffled whimper and barely repressed shudder.
“Never would have needed to start this here if you’d agreed to marry me.”
“Can’t marry you, Levi.” She trailed her lips up to his ear and nibbled on his lobe—which instantly turned into an erogenous zone.
He tilted his head to the side to give her easier access. He moved his hands up her waist and rested his thumbs on her ribs. All he need do was brush them upwards and he’d caress the curves of those stunning breasts. “Give me a reason. One good reason and I’ll stop asking.”
A slow release of her breath tortured the side of his neck as she freed his ear and pulled back. Her shoulders seemed to sag against his chest.
Levi opened his eyes to find himself staring into hers. While he could still clearly see his desire reflected in those green pools, he saw something else too. Something he wasn’t altogether sure he liked.
She blinked several times but didn’t lower her gaze. “I don’t think you’re going to be happy with my reason.”
“If it keeps us apart, you’re probably right.”
“I want you to take me, Levi. I’ve wanted it a long time.” She licked her lips, and Levi found it almost impossible not to claim her tongue again. “For you to finally, finally fuck me.”
He muttered something unintelligible—mostly because intelligible speech failed him at that point.
“But…”
Shit, he hated that word. “But?”
“But you’re not the only one I’ve wanted for a long time.”

Pass The Parcel – The story behind the story.

So this story begins with a conversation way back in 2012. Yeah I know, who can remember what they had for breakfast never mind a conversation that happened TWO years ago! Good thing I make notes. LOTS of notes. 🙂

Anyhoo……while promoting the Party Games series I got into a conversation with the lovely KittyKelly aka The Smutty Kitty and long story short I agreed to make her the heroine of the next Party Games book. 🙂 Aren’t I nice. Oh, but wait. I get nicer. 😆 Instead of giving Kitty one hot guy I gave her two. See. I’m totally nice. 😉

I’m pretty sure Kitty had a good time playing pass the parcel. 😉

RC1DaDGraphic.001

It’s more than a game when their hearts are involved.

For one night Kitty is going to pretend she’s someone else. Someone not afraid of going after what she wants. And what she wants is a night of carnal pleasure with her two bosses.

Ethan and Finn have wanted their shy, innocent office manager since the moment they laid eyes on her. But months of issuing subtle invitations and innuendoes have gotten them nowhere. Until now.

Now she’s here. With them. And nothing will stop them from getting what they want—Kitty in their bed. Forever.

Warning: A heroine out of her depth and two sexy heroes determine to show her she’s capable of taking them both on.

Ethan was the first to regain his composure. “Kelly. We don’t want to rush—”

“Rush? I think it’s safe to say this has been building for two years. There’s nothing rushed about that.” Damn. Where had this brave woman come from? “Let’s lay all our cards on the table. I want you both. Have for a long time.”

She raised her chin a notch when she’d finished. God, it felt good to take control of her desire.

“We haven’t kept it a secret from you that we like to share the women we take to bed,” Finn said.

She shook her head. “No, you haven’t.”

“And you understand that’s what we want with you?” Ethan asked. “To double team you?”

Kitty wasn’t sure if he was being a little crude to scare her or not. He’d be shocked to know the idea of having sex with both of them—at the same time—caused her pussy to clench and weep. “Yes. I understand that’s what you want.”

“And you’re up for that?” Finn asked. “To let us fuck you together?”

She nodded. Finn’s raw language robbed her of words.

Ethan stepped closer and Kitty could feel the heat radiating off him. “You know that means one of us will fuck your cunt while the other takes your tight arse.”

Oh God. She was melting now. Her insides were liquefying in the wake of their explicitness—in the animalistic nature of their lust and their refusal to hide it. Swallowing hard, she continued to nod.

“Have you taken it in the arse before?” Ethan murmured as he moved around her, pressed his chest to her back and ground his erection into her backside.

The nodding turned to shaking.

Ethan thrust against her as Finn moved up and plastered his chest to hers. “I’m going to fuck your sweet virgin arse while you suck Finn’s cock dry,” Ethan whispered in her ear before nipping her lobe.

The sharp sting drew a gasp from her throat and sent showers of electric sparks all over her skin. Like a sparkler, she lit up. Her legs trembled and she reached for support, her hands landing on Finn’s hot, hard chest, parting their bodies slightly. “I…”

“Tell us we can fuck you, Kitty,” Finn demanded in a voice that had dropped low and raspy.

“We need to hear you say it.” Ethan slid his hands up her ribs, brushing his fingers over her exposed skin, delivering another burst of sensory pleasure.

Her nipples hardened—throbbed—and she knew Finn could see them poking against the material of her top. As if he’d read her mind, he brought his hands up and stroked his thumbs over the taut peaks.

She would have been embarrassed by the whimper that left her throat if she wasn’t so deep in the pleasure their simple caresses gave her. God, if she was this far gone and they all still had their clothes on…

“I…” Kitty had to lick her dry lips. “I want…”

“What do you want?” Finn asked, adding a little more pressure to the stroke of his thumbs.

“Tell us. Whatever you want we’ll give you,” Ethan spoke against her bare shoulder as he dragged his lips across her skin.

This was it.

Her chance to have what she’d dreamed about for far too long.

“I want you to f-fuck me.”

Burning Up in Australia

Down and Dirty Special with quoteWhen we Divas first decided to do a boxed set of short MFM erotic romance stories, I was thrilled. I’d had a story idea in the back of my mind for a little while, but wasn’t sure whether to write it or not, nor did I know when I was going to get around to it. The boxed set gave me the impetus to get cracking, and as is usually the case when I write something short, I had a blast doing it! (I really need to write short more often, as it’s a nice little stress relief between these long and emotionally taxing tomes I tend to pen. If only most of my characters weren’t so full of angst I might be able to do it :).)

In Burning Up, there’s relatively little angst, especially when you compare it to the story it follows up. You see, Burning Up is a spin off of Erica’s Choice, which was kind of a big SERIOUS book eh? It’s not a sequel so can be read completely independently, but it stars some of the characters from Erica’s Choice. Pam spencer, Erica’s best friend and two more firefighters from Ashton Heights Firehouse, Steve Waller and Rob McConnell, are the trio in question. They lingered in my mind after I wrote Erica’s book, and let me tell you, Pam, Steve and Rob showed me an AWESOME time :).

Blurb:

Pam Spencer is sick of looking for love in all the wrong places. Sure, she wants a solid relationship, but if steamy casual sex is on offer, who is she to turn it down? Especially when the offer comes from not one, but two smokin’ hot firefighters.

Steve Waller has a serious thing for Pam, but she seems more interested in his mate Rob McConnell. When they both realise Pam is open to a threesome, they jump at the chance. Too bad Steve really wants Pam all to himself. But love can’t blossom out of a crazy one night three way. Can It?

And here’s just a teeny snippet from the first 3 way kiss the characters share:

Pam wriggled a little, an indication that she’d like some space. But Steve merely tightened his grip on her waist. To add to her torment, he even pressed his lips to her ear, brushing a hot breath over it that made her shiver. “You feel okay there, Pammy?”

Her response came out as little more than a rasp. “I don’t understand.”

She feared that was a lie. She feared she did understand all too well what Steve and Rob had planned for her.

Confirming her suspicions, Steve whispered. “Then we’ll show you. Do it, Rob.”

In an instant, Rob’s large hand was bracketing her jaw. The next thing Pam knew, his lips were on hers.

Softness. So much softness. She should have expected it from Rob, the nice guy, but she hadn’t. She’d imagined him passionate and out of control. But this kiss…it was lovely. He brushed his lips against hers, requesting her compliance before working her mouth open. Too shocked by the turn of events, Pam didn’t resist as Rob slid his tongue into her mouth. Her heart pounded as he deepened the kiss, sliding his tongue over hers, stroking her waist…

No. That was Steve stroking her waist, Steve’s hand moving upward, and upward, until his fingers encountered the underside of her breast through the thin cardigan and silky camisole. Her nipple beaded, anticipating his touch. She wanted him to touch her there, to stroke her flesh to a hard point while Rob kissed her into a state of dreamy desire. She wanted it so badly, she arched her spine, writhing now not in protest, but in invitation.

Want more? You’re in luck, because Down and Dirty releases in 5 days! Friday 27th of June you can buy the full set on Amazon, and in the meantime you can add it to your Smashwords library or preorder it from ARe, Kobo and iBooks (and if you download the sample you get to read the first 2 chapters of Burning Up before the set releases).

Can’t wait for release day!
